Recognition & Awards

We were commissioned by the Col. Benjamin Stephenson House in Edwardsville, IL. to create 17 Windsor chairs for the historic home. To see more of the Stephenson house - click onto, www.StephensonHouse.org

  •   We have also had one of our Windsor chairs purchased to be placed in the first Missouri capitol in St.Charles, MO.

They are members of the Raintree Arts Counsil in Clarksville, MO. and Caron is Vise President of the Clarksville Museum.

They are juried members of the Best Of Missouri Hands artisan's guild and were chosen as the Featured Artisan's in the June 2005 issue.

Ralph and Caron have been chosen by the EARLY AMERICAN LIFE magazine as one of the Top 200 Traditional American Craftsmen every year since 2004 and were chosen as one of three artisans from the Top 200 in 2005  to receive the First Heritage Artisan Award that is given to an artisan when all judges agree that their work is of museum quality. An honor that they are proud to have been given.

The October issue of Early American Life magazine has a great article about Writing Arm Chairs - we contributed to the article our story and there is a photo of our child and adult Writing Arm Chairs.

Their Windsor chairs were chosen by Heritage House Studio to be used in the new, soon to be released documentary, narrated by Kenny Rogers, " WE THE PEOPLE ".  The movie will premier at the Omni-Maxx Thearter of the Smithsonian Institute in Washington, DC. It will then be released to all the Omni-Maxx Thearters across the United States. Caron and Ralph also had a small "walk on part" during the filming of the movie too !
